In the age of "looking down," Axis Theatre draws young eyes up to engage them in interactive experiences that educate, inspire and transform. Audiences experience smart, entertaining interpretations of traditional and cutting edge physical theatre. Axis incorporates combinations of re-nose clown, mime, movement, mask work, puppetry and improvisation to expand the meaning and impact of stories presented. It is deceptively simple, completly fresh and memorable.

Young minds are the soil into which we must sow the ideas, creating the right environment to nurture the imagination to create a better world. Axis travels extensively as well as performing right here in Vancouver, to reach young and old and connect them with wonderful ideas and with each other.

The Salish Sea is a precious bioregion on Canada's Pacific Coast. Of great cultural significance to the Coastal Salish People, knowledge and understanding about its importance is critical to its preservation in light of initiatives to increase tanker traffic up and down the coast as well a in decisions made around fishing in the region.

Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea is Canada's aquarium and cultural centre for the Salish Sea. They feature 160 species of marine life, rare marine mammal exhibits, and a unique Coast Salish art collection to learn about, explore and conserve the Salish Sea Bioregion – its wildlife, waters, land, culture and people.

As inhabitants of this special part of the world, we are supportive of organizations that protect it. The Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea was one of the 2016 recipients for One Good Idea award. salishseacentre.org

The Care Tools is a comprehensive online tool set designed to relieve today's stressed and overworked informal caregivers. Streamlining and sharing tasks amongst care teams, it enhances quality of life and reinforces bonds between team members. The Care Tools tracks and charts the care receivers' abilities, saving medical professionals time.

Founded by Robert Bowden, The Care Tools aims to provide easier, better, self and shared care for people with chronic illness at home. The Care Tools was birthed when Bowden’s father developed Alzheimer’s disease. What began as a simple online system for Bowden and his family to help manage simple tasks and contacts while caring for their father, has now developed into an indispensable, and publicly available, software tool that helps reduce care giving stress, effort, anxiety, and cost.

The tools enable families and friends to get organized, share the care, prevent problems, and work effectively with health professionals, enabling the best in home care for as long as possible.
